Last batch of the charity bracelet has sold out, together we raise £1.175 in just 1 1/2 weeks. Thank you for your support.
According to the United Nations children are the ones who suffer first and suffer most in conflict and crisis situations. Appalled by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza a number of women in my local network decided to start a fundraising to help the children of Gaza and ease their phycological trauma from the current situation. They invited me to participate and I have designed two charity bracelets to help support this initiative.
All funds raised from this initiative are channeled through the British charity Hope and Play, which has been thoroughly vetted by the organisers as well as the British Charity Commission. The initiative also includes a Poetry for Peace event in Tunbridge Wells UK, as well as silent auction.
Hope and Play was initially established to provide the children of the occupied Palestinian territories and refugee camps with a safe place to play, live and learn. However, in recent months the charity has focused even more than normal on providing psychological help to the children through play as well as providing basic humanitarian assistance in the form of food to the most vulnerable children in their outreach area.
The charity is independent and non-partisan.
£15 from the sale of each bracelet is donated to Hope and Play and their work to alleviate the psychological trauma of the future generations of Gaza. However, if you use a store discount code, only £10 will be donated per bracelet. See also the Black and white version of the Hope Bracelet.
